ACUSIS Adds Organizational
Expertise
-- New appointments made in Quality Assurance, Implementation and Technology –

(Pittsburgh, PA)-- The medical transcription
services company ACUSIS, headquartered in Pittsburgh, has
announced the hiring of several new key employees in the
areas of quality assurance, implementation, technology
and systems operations.
The new appointments increase the ACUSIS
staff to 32 in its Pittsburgh office. Globally, the company
maintains a workforce of 200 in its Bangalore, Chennai
and Mysore locations that provide medical transcription
services to hospitals, clinics and physician practices
throughout the United States.
According to David Iwinski, CEO of
ACUSIS, the recent hirings reinforce the dedicated approach
of ACUSIS to enhancing key capabilities within its business
model. “As a growing company, we recognize the importance
of building and maintaining a highly capable staff not
only at the executive level, but in all areas of the services
we provide,” said Iwinski.
The recent appointments provide a highly
qualified infrastructure to support and enhance the strategic
growth and vision of the company, which is to provide cost-effective,
high quality transcription services within the desired
turnaround time.
Says Iwinski “We sought out the
most experienced professionals in quality assurance, technology,
implementation and systems operations to help us create
a dynamic, effective and responsive business process flow.”
The new ACUSIS appointments include:
Satya Gottumukkala. - General
Manager, Technology
Satya’s responsibilities at ACUSIS include India-based technical
infrastructure, technology staffing, and software development and design.
Prior to joining ACUSIS, Satya was a member of the management team
for HealthAsyst, a company focused on providing IT services to the
US-based healthcare industry. Before that, Satya was an Account Manager
with Wipro Technologies.
Satya received his B.S. in Mathematics
in 1986 from Osmania University, India and a
Post Graduate Degree in Computer Applications from the same school
in 1987. Satya also received a Project Management degree from Harvard
University in 1999.
Peggy Hochendoner - Supervisor, Transcription
Production
As Supervisor for Production Transcription/Quality
Auditor, Hochendoner is responsible for managing the tactical
day-to-day production, planning, organizing, scheduling,
communicating, and reporting activities for the U.S. based
transcription editors.
Hochendoner received her Certified
Medical Transcriptionist degree in 1998, and was re-certified
again in 2001.
Mark Munson - Director, Implementation
Services
In his new position with ACUSIS, Munson
will be responsible for implementing the ACUSIS transcription
service with new customers. During the start-up phase,
he will work closely with the medical records and information
technology departments at the customers’ location
to ensure a smooth transition to ACUSIS.
Before joining the company, Munson
held a similar position with ePlus, a Herndon-Virginia
based information technology company and ProcureNet Inc./Fisher
Technology Group based in Pittsburgh. Munson is a 1987
graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S. degree in Materials
Engineering.
Jay Patel - Manager, Production
Transcription
With over a decade of leadership experience
in operations management, Patel will oversee production
operations for ACUSIS. Before joining the company, Patel
was Director of Business Project Management for Marconi
PLC (Formerly FORE Systems), a Pennsylvania-based telecommunications
company specializing in broadband solutions.
He received an MBA from the Katz Graduate
School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh in 1996,
and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University
of Maryland in 1989.
Mary Sieger - Training Specialist
As Training Specialist for ACUSIS,
Sieger’s responsibilities include internal training
for employees and external training for customers, including
the development of e-training courses in a variety of products
and topics. Before Sieger joined ACUSIS, she held a similar
position with Dictaphone Corporation. She is a Certified
Technical Trainer and was awarded a CTT degree in 2000.
Barry Winseck - Director, Systems
Operations
Winseck came to ACUSIS from Pittsburgh-based
FreeMarkets where he served as Manager of Information Technology.
At ACUSIS, he will oversee the activities of the Systems
Operations team and ensure services are delivered to both
internal and external customers in a timely and cost-effective
manner. In addition, he will coordinate support of the
company’s 24x7 Data Center Operations, administrate
all systems operations and oversee support of Production
Applications for laptop and desktop users.
Winseck is a 1992 graduate of Robert
Morris College, with a B.S. degree in Computer Information
Systems.
Diana Yee - Implementation
Specialist.
As Implementation Specialist for ACUSIS,
Yee is responsible for creating and customizing templates
to suit client needs. Prior to joining ACUSIS, Yee was
an Account Liaison and Associate Manager with Global Transcription,
Ltd.of Pittsburgh. She is a 1991 graduate of Community
College of Allegheny County, Allegheny Campus Pre-Nursing
Program and completed a Medical Transcription Program at
Monroeville School of Business in 1985.
