Star of Mysore newspaper,
December 2001 interview with Acusis CEO David Iwinski
- January 8, 2002

(The following excerpts were taken from an interview between David Iwinski and a Star of Mysore correspondent during one of Mr. Iwinski's recent trips to India.)

"The distinguishing factors of Acusis are our people, our quality of service, and our commitment to serving the medical community and its patients".

"The relationship between America's doctors and India's medical transcriptionists is working beautifully, with the latter providing skilled, highly qualified personnel. Very few countries have the quality of people required for medical transcription."

Mr. Iwinski went on to discuss future plans for the company's expansion: "Presently, our overseas offices are located in Mysore, Bangalore and Chennai, with a total of 65 employees. We plan to increase this number to nearly 1,000 within the next year. Medical transcription, while exclusive to North America, has made India its closest partner."

Mr. Iwinski on the subject of why many medical transcription companies utilize an off-shore workforce: "India offers some of the most qualified transcriptionists in the world. Our transcriptionists all hold college degrees, and many of them are doctors and nurses. In addition, the time zone difference allows us to get the completed reports back into the physician's hands in a very short period of time."
